The ChatterVox Model 100 from Enhanced Listening Technologies Group is simply the finest portable voice amplifier.
It was originally designed to provide assistance to Parkinson's sufferers. As a result, it has a very 'mellow' frequency response that can provide amplification for 'whisper speech' without harsh sounding high frequency emphasis.
This approach makes it ideal for anyone needing vocal boost that sounds entirely natural.
It can boost your voice volume by as much as 18 decibels. It consists of a rechargeable waist amplifier and speaker unit along with an extremely comfortable headset microphone. You simply charge the ChatterVox overnight with the included charger, put on the waist pack and headset, plug the microphone into the waist pack, adjust the volume knob and you are set to go.
Nobody beats ChatterVox when it comes to quality and ease of use.
The ChatterVox Model 100 can be supplied with one of three microphones: Headset Microphone Collar Microphone Transdermal (throat) Microphone (there are more, but they are for specialist applications and we need to talk about them a little)
The Headset and Collar Microphones are a low sensitivity, near field design. This means that they need to be close to your mouth to operate correctly. This type of microphone minimises the pick up of background noise and reduces feedback potential.
The Headset Microphone is usually the best choice because it will keep the microphone capsule correctly placed regardless of head position.
The Collar Microphone should only be used where there is no head movement.
The Transdermal Microphone is placed on the neck and picks up the vibration of the vocal cords. It is used after throat surgery where the client may be left with very low vocal output or where the client needs to wear an oxygen mask or the like.
